NIMS Open House 2026

At NIMS Open House 2026, the High Magnetic Field Measurement Unit will present the following two programs:

“The Importance of the Helium Recycling System at NIMS”
— Advancing sustainable use to secure helium, a scarce resource —

“Unveiling the Invisible World with High Magnetic Field NMR Systems!”
— Elucidating the structures of various materials using world-class high magnetic fields —

These programs introduce both the fundamental technologies supporting high magnetic field research and cutting-edge analytical methods. The helium recycling system presentation will explain efforts to establish a sustainable research environment through the recovery and reuse of liquid helium. The high magnetic field NMR program will demonstrate how otherwise invisible aspects of matter—such as internal structures and molecular-level dynamics—can be revealed using advanced techniques.

This is a valuable opportunity to tour research facilities that are not normally accessible to the public. We warmly invite you to visit.
