– NIMS Joint Graduate School Program

The NIMS Joint Graduate School Program with Yokohama National University has been formed to guide graduate students towards a doctoral degree. The collaborative program “Specialization in Energy Materials” was established in 2 departments in the Graduate School of Engineering Science at Yokohama National University; Department of Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, and Ocean Engineering, and Department of Chemistry and Life Science.

The Graduate School of Engineering Science (https://www.fse.ynu.ac.jp/english/index.html) aspire to serve as an international hub of practical science. The aim is to foster globally competitive scientists and engineers who have ethics and enterprising spirits to learn beyond their areas of expertise.

The doctoral students in “Specialization in Energy Materials” will acquire a wide range of expertise for the application, while developing the basic skills in energy materials such as materials science related to electrochemistry, thermal engineering, and material properties.
