    Format for Abstract Submission
  • Title (Maximum 200 characters)
  • Authors (name, role and e-mail address of lead author)
  • Institution
  • Main abstract text (Maximum 4000 characters)
  • [Optional (if you wish to include it)] One supporting figure and/or tables in jpg, png or gif file (up to 10 MB)
  • Notes
  • Submit the abstract through the Confit's website above. The title, main text, and image will be combined into a single PDF file atumatically. The "Confit" is an online system for academic conference provided by Atlas Co., Ltd.
  • After you have completed the submission, you will receive an email with an URL to confirm the PDF file. You can also check it through the Confit's My Page.
  • You can modify your registered information and/or submitted abstract through the Confit's My Page.

    Late-breaking Poster Abstract Submission:

  • The abstract can be accepted only for poster presentation.
  • Please send the abstract via e-mail to REPM2025@nims.go.jp since the submission site has been already closed.  CLOSED 
  • The format for abstract is described above in "Format for Abstract Submission" section.
  • MS Word format is recommended.
  • Oral Presentation Guidelines:

  • The oral presentation format is as below;
      * The contributed presentation: 12 minutes talk + 3 minutes Q&A period.
      * The invited presentation: 17 minutes talk + 3 minutes Q&A period.
      * The plenary presentation: 25 minutes talk + 5 minutes Q&A period.
  • Speakers must bring their presentation on a USB flash drive if you use our laptop.
      Please copy your presentation to our laptop and check it works well before the session starts.
      This is easier and faster than connecting to your own laptop.
  • If the speaker decides to bring their own laptop, it should be powered on and ready to connect to the projector via HDMI (type A).
      Keep in mind that there is no extra time allotted to troubleshooting connections or rebooting.
  • Slide presentations should be formatted for 16:9 aspect ratio.
  • Poster Presentation Guidelines:

  • It should consist of well-prepared visual material about the work posted on a designated board.
  • A registered author must present it to provide details and answer questions during the poster session.
  • Posters should be in portrait (vertical) format (A0 size is preferred).
  • There will be a small poster ID sign at each board and a number of pins for poster to be attached.
  • Please print and bring it with you in advance as it cannot be printed at the workshop venue.
  • Presented Material with DOI:

    After revision and approval by the authors, the presented materials will be published with DOI in the "Materials Data Repository Service" of NIMS.

    Regular Article:

    The paper is encouraged to be submitted as a regular peer-reviewed article of the open-access journal "STAM (Science and Technology of Advanced Materials)" (Impact Factor: 7.4 (2023)).

    The STAM publishes research across disciplines of materials science, physics, chemistry, biology and engineering, including functional and structural materials.
