Oral Presentation Guidelines:

  • The oral presentation format is as below;
      * The contributed presentation: 12 minutes talk + 3 minutes Q&A period.
      * The invited presentation: 17 minutes talk + 3 minutes Q&A period.
      * The plenary presentation: 25 minutes talk + 5 minutes Q&A period.
  • Speakers must bring their presentation on a USB flash drive if you use our laptop.
      Please copy your presentation to our laptop and check it works well before the session starts.
      This is easier and faster than connecting to your own laptop.
  • If the speaker decides to bring their own laptop, it should be powered on and ready to connect to the projector via HDMI (type A).
      Keep in mind that there is no extra time allotted to troubleshooting connections or rebooting.
  • Slide presentations should be formatted for 16:9 aspect ratio.
  • Poster Presentation Guidelines:

  • It should consist of well-prepared visual material about the work posted on a designated board.
  • A registered author must present it to provide details and answer questions during the poster session.
  • Posters should be in portrait (vertical) format (A0 size is preferred).
  • There will be a small poster ID sign at each board and a number of pins for poster to be attached.
  • Please print and bring it with you in advance as it cannot be printed at the workshop venue.
  • Presented Material with DOI:

    After revision and approval by the authors, the presented materials will be published with DOI in the "Materials Data Repository" of NIMS.

    Regular Article:

    The proceedings or special issue of REPM2025 will not be published; however, your valuable paper is encouraged to be submitted as a regular peer-reviewed article of the open-access journal "STAM (Science and Technology of Advanced Materials) " (Impact Factor: 7.4 (2023)). This means that the REPM2025 presenters' submissions will not be treated differently from regular submissions, and there will be no special consideration given during the peer-review process. Please submit your manuscript through the submission system following the usual procedure.

    The STAM publishes research across disciplines of materials science, physics, chemistry, biology and engineering, including magnetic materials.

    With the rising cost of article processing charges (APCs) becoming a global issue, STAM launches a new APC waiver campaign supported by NIMS and Empa. Under certain conditions, authors will be exempted from the APC, which is normally US$1200, and will be able to publish their article open access for free.

    In order to accelerate the publication of data, which is of great significance in promoting materials research in the context of open science, NIMS will fully support the publication fee provided that the paper including the data to reproduce the graphs in the paper is deposited in the NIMS repository (MDR).
