Dr. Satoshi Tominaka, MANA Independent Scientist, received the Funai Research Incentive Award from Funai Foundation for
Information Technology on April 14, 2012. The prize is awarded to researchers for excellent contributions to research in fields related to Information technology and Information Science in Japan.

The award was given to Dr. Tominaka for his marked work on "Creation of On-Chip Fuel Cells for Ultrasmall Electronics".
