Satellites
Out of the 24 Principal Investigators (PIs) at MANA, 7 are invited researchers based at outside research institutions at which MANA has established satellite laboratories. These satellites facilitate joint research in fields that could not be covered by NIMS alone. The PIs at the satellites also serve as mentors for young MANA researchers. Functioning as thenodes of a global nano-tech network, the satellites play an important role in the exchange of information.
