Research Structure
At this research center, we integrate cutting-edge measurement, computational science, data platforms, and smart laboratories to develop technologies that enable a hierarchical understanding of multi-scale physicochemical phenomena at the material, electrode (three-dimensional structure), and cell levels in various next-generation batteries, including advanced lithium-ion batteries. These technologies will allow for highly accurate predictions of performance, lifespan, and safety. Leveraging these technologies, we will design battery structures that maximize the characteristics of high-performance new materials developed through industry-academia-government collaboration, thereby accelerating the development of batteries that meet diverse societal needs and requirements.
