This program has been established in the Doctoral Program in Materials Science and Engineering and the Doctoral Program in Chemical Science and Engineering at the School of Materials and Chemical Technology, and is open for enrollment from April 2025.

The program is for Doctoral students, and the main campus is at the National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS). From program entry until completion of the doctoral degree, NIMS researchers and Institute of Science Tokyo professors jointly supervise the student's research and study.
