Our work on upconversion PL published in Physical Review B
Editors’ Suggestion in Physical Review B
We are excited to announce that our paper, “Intrinsic Process for Upconversion Photoluminescence via 𝐾-momentum–phonon Coupling in Carbon Nanotubes,” has been selected as an Editors’ Suggestion in Physical Review B. This recognition highlights the significance of our research in exploring photon upconversion mechanisms in pristine single-walled carbon nanotubes.
Our study reveals that upconversion photoluminescence can be described as a one-photon process, influenced by resonant exciton-phonon coupling at the 𝐾-momentum phonon modes. This discovery opens up new possibilities for optothermal technologies by engineering excitation pathways in carbon nanotubes.
Discover how our second-order exciton-phonon interaction model explains these processes, offering insights into advanced photonic applications.
