Appointed as JPS Area Committee Member
As of October 1, 2025, Daichi has been appointed as a committee member of Area 7 (Molecular Solids and Organic Conductors) of the Physical Society of Japan. Area 7 promotes research in condensed matter physics of molecular solids and organic conductors. Leila completed her NIMS internship program
Congratulations to Leila Akisheva for completing her NIMS internship program! We are honored to have had you as part of our team! During her internship, Leila developed in-situ functionalization microscopy techniques for WS2 and hBN materials and successfully optimized the experimental conditions. Her dedication and remarkable achievements have made a significant contribution to our quantum defect research project. We appreciate her hard work and commitment throughout the internship period. Madhusmita joined as the NIMS-ICGP internship program
Madhusmita Jena, a graduate student from the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi, has joined the 2D quantum materials group as part of the NIMS-ICGP internship program! She will study magneto-optical effects in two-dimensional van der Waals materials for spintronic and opto-spintronics applications at NIMS for a year.
