Tadaaki Nagao, Group Leader and Satoshi Ishii Principal Researcher (Photonics Nano-Engineering Group) received "The Ichimura Prize in Science against Global Warming for Distinguished Achievement" from Ichimura Foundation for New Technology.

Ichimura Foundation for New Technology was established by Kiyoshi Ichimura for the promotion of science and technology in our life.
Awards are given to researchers or groups who have contributed to outstanding achievements in the technical field related to global warming countermeasures.
