MANA International Symposium 2017

The MANA International Symposium 2017 was held at Epochal Tsukuba in Tsukuba City, Japan over a 4-day period from February 28 (Tuesday) to March 3 (Friday), 2017. The MANA International Symposium is held each year to present research achievements at MANA to Japan and the international scientific community. This year's event was the 10th Anniversary Symposium in the series.

The Symposium featured Greetings from Prof. Gunzi Saito, Program Officer of World Premier International Research Center Initiative program (WPI) and Special Lectures, titled "Day of Nanoarchitectonics" by Prof. Greg Lynn, Professor of University of California Los Angeles, USA, Alastair Beresford, Senior Scientist of University of Cambridge, UK, and Masashi Aono, Associate PI of WPI-ELSI, Tokyo Institute of Technology. Besides Invited Talks by 24 distinguished scientists from Japan and other countries, Research results at MANA were also announced in a total of 11 oral presentations and 124 poster presentations. The Symposium attracted more than 400 participants over the 4-day period, with lively question-and-answer sessions and exchanges of ideas.
