Jin Kawakita, MANA Scientist Wins the Japan Institute of Metals and Materials Meritorious Award
MANA Scientist Dr. Jin Kawakita of Nano-Electronic Materials Unit, MANA, received the Japan Institute of Metals and Materials Meritorious Award as an up-and-coming scientist of great promise, having published scientific papers that contribute to developing metallurgy or metal industrial technologies.
Dr. Kawakita has been engaged in the enhancement of materials properties and the development of novel materials based on electrochemistry. The award is a tremendous validation of his findings, including his works "Discovery of the Mechanism for Corrosion Behavior of Spray-coated Metal and Improvement of Corrosion Resistance upon Developing Novel Coating Method" and "Synthesis of Conductive Polymer Material formed through the Photo-chemical Reaction and Discovery of the Characteristics for Electronics Application".
