The sixth Young Scientist Award of the Physical Society of Japan (PSJ) was awarded to Dr. Katsunori Wakabayashi, MANA Independent Scientist. The PSJ Young Scientist Award was established for encouraging young researchers in their research work and further enliven the physics community.

His three articles were cited as the reason for the award in the field of molecular solids and organic condunctor:
