Obtain a graduate degree from Kyushu University, by research at NIMS

Kyushu University - NIMS Joint Graduate Program was formalized in 2009, with opening "Course of Advanced Nanomaterials Science and Engineering" in Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry and Department of Materials Physics and Chemistry, Graduate School of Engineering, Kyushu University.

The PhD students undertake research activity at the National Institute of Materials Science (NIMS), supervised by NIMS researchers and professors of Kyushu University (from Department of Applied Chemistry and Department of Materials )

Application for NIMS Graduate Assistantship (for April 2023 entry) is open. The closing date is 7th November 2022.

Application for NIMS Graduate Assistantship (for October 2022 and April 2023 entry) is open. The closing date is 6th June 2022.

Due to reorganization, Kyushu University - NIMS Joint Graduate School Program is now placed in Department of Applied Chemistry and Department of Materials which belong to Faculty of Engineering at Kyushu University. When you apply for the PhD program, please choose the department corresponding to the professors assignment.

NIMS openhouse will be held online on 23th May. The professors will be present in some contents. Find out more on the website. (Online live and website are only in Japanese)
