NIMS- Kyushu University
Joint Graduate School

The Kyushu-NIMS Graduate Program was launched in in April 2009, as "Course of Advanced Nanomaterials Science and Engineering" in Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry and Department of Materials Physics and Chemistry in the Graduate School of Engineering.
** By the graduate school's reorganization implemented in April 2021, this program is installed in Department of Applied Chemistry and Department of Materials in the Graduate School of Engineering at Kyushu University.

This doctoral program is taught by selected researchers from the National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS) in conjunction with Kyusyu University professors. The Program focuses on research in nanomaterials and engineering, which brings one of Japan's highest-caliber research and instruction environments to Kyushu University's Global COE by making available to students state-of-the-art NIMS equipment. Students enjoy the opportunity to receive advanced, hands-on instruction while dedicating themselves to research activities in a unique PhD program.
