 * The first and the last 30 minutes are operation interval for the preparation and the abort.
 * Operation with no lunch break is available.
 * Magnetizing excitation is operated by our engineer/operator

Application

Approval

The approved Machine Time by our HM commission will be notified to the user.

The selection for your Machine Time is based on your proposal demonstration, academic merit, and professional/academic experience. It is expected that selected users issue meaningful academic publication or research report regardless the result.

Confirmation

If your Machine Time is approved, you need to submit the confirmation form at least 1 week prior to the first day of your Machine Time. (Cryostat is available if required.) All users, by submission of the confirmation form, shall agree to comply with all of the conditions, requirements and instructions of Tsukuba Magnet Laboratory.

Request for Liquid Helium

If you require liquid helium for sample cooling down, submit Liquid Helium Request Form at least 1 week prior to the first day of your Machine Time. No needs to apply for liquid helium and nitrogen for magnet cooling.

We ask Hyrbrid Magnet user to return 20% of liquid helium used in your Machine Time.

The First Day of Machine Time

Go to Helium Liquefier Room (1st floor in High Magnetic Field Laboratory) at 8.30 - 9.00 am on the first day of your Machine Time. Have the first meeting with our engineer/operator about the operation pattern.

If you are late for the first meeting, please call +81 (0)29-863-5574.
No action until 9.30 on the first day is regarded as a cancellation of your Machine Time.

Cancellation

Your Machine Time will be automatically canceled if your confirmation document is not submitted. We do not send you the further notice for the confirmation after Machine Time approval and notice. A request for cancellation should be made no later than 14 days prior to the first day of your Machine Time.
