Nan publishes his work on interface excitons in mixed-dimensional heterostructures in Nature Communications
This research presents the development and room-temperature observation of interface excitons in mixed-dimensional van der Waals heterostructures, composed of 2D WSe2 and one-dimensional carbon nanotubes. The study reveals new emission peaks within telecommunication wavelengths, attributed to interface excitons, and suggests potential applications in quantum photonics through engineered band alignment.
