Discovery of a New Operating Principle for Solid-State NMR Quantum Computers

Atsushi Goto, Principal Researcher of the High-field NMR Group in NIMS, and his colleagues have discovered a new operating principle for the solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) quantum computer, which is regarded as a promising candidate for next-generation computing. This achievement was made using equipment at the High Magnetic Field Station (Station Director: Hiroaki Kumakura) together with the systems developed by the research team.
