On November 6, 2006, NIMS certified Probe Kobo Co., Ltd. as a "NIMS Venture Company" to support the commercialization of solid-state NMR device technologies developed at NIMS. Probe Kobo, founded in August 2006 in Hamura City, Tokyo and led by President Yoko Fujito, leverages NIMS's research, including contributions by Dr. Tadashi Shimizu from the High-field NMR Group. Dr. Shimizu will serve as Technical Advisor to the company.
