NMR & Ultra-Strong Magnetic Field Magnet Development (NIMS Week 2019, Students)
Lecturer: Dr.Kenjiro Hashi
Position: Principal Researcher, High Magnetic Field NMR Group, Research Center for Advanced Materials Analysis
Specialization: Solid-State NMR
Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) is recognized as a powerful analytical technique in the fields of physics, chemistry, and life sciences. As NMR demonstrates higher performance under strong magnetic fields, it is closely linked with advanced high-field magnet technology. NIMS has repeatedly set world records in the development of superconducting magnets for NMR. These achievements are supported by NIMS’s longstanding expertise in superconductivity and ultra-low temperature technologies.
In this lecture, after giving an overview of NMR and high-field technologies, we will clearly explain the features and significance of the “world’s highest-field NMR instrument” developed at NIMS.
Lecture: 10:30–11:30
Venue: Large Conference Room, 2nd Floor, Research Building, Sakura Area
