Instructions for Oral Presenters
  • There are four types of oral presentations.
  • Keynote lectures : 55 minutes for presentation and 5 minutes for discussion
  • Plenary lectures : 40 minutes for presentation and 5 minutes for discussion
  • Invited presentation : 25 minutes for presentation and 5 minutes for discussion
  • General oral presentation : 12 minutes for presentation and 3 minutes for discussion
  • Presentations should be in English.
  • Each conference room is equipped with a PC with Windows XP English edition and PowerPoint 2003.
  • You can bring your data with a CD-R or a USB flash memory. Please upload your data before your session starts. We are responsible for erasing all copies of any data after the session.
  • If you use your own computer for the presentation, please make sure the connection with the projector before the session.
Instructions for Poster Presenters
  • The poster boards can accommodate posters up to 85 cm wide and 150 cm height.
  • This area fits A0 portrait size (841 mm wide and 1189 mm height).
  • Poster Sessions will be held at Rooms 303 and 304 from 16:30 to 18:00 on Monday and Tuesday.
  • Please set up your poster during 12:15-16:30.
  • Your board will be indicated by the poster number.
  • The poster rooms will be open till 20:00.
  • Mounting materials will be provided on site.
  • Monday's presenters should remove the poster by 12:15 on Tuesday.
  • Tuesday's presenters should remove the poster by 20:00 on Tuesday, since the room is not available on Wednesday.
  • Please understand that any posters remaining over the removal time will be disposed after the conference.
Internet access
  • A wireless LAN service is available in the public area of the Congress Center.
  • We will arrange an internet room equipped with a few PCs for public use (open at 13:30 on Monday, and not available on Thursday). A wireless LAN is available also in this room. There is no printer, but printing service of the Congress Center is available.
Lunch
  • You will receive lunch tickets for three days (Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday) at the registration. Please exchange the ticket for a lunch box in front of the hall on the first floor.

Electricity
  • The voltage in Japan is 100 Volts (50 Hertz). Electrical plug is Type A (two flat blades) identical to North American one. Please bring necessary adapter.
Weather
  • The average temperature in Tsukuba in May and June is 16-20 degrees C. The conference will be held just before the rainy season, so we hope that the weather would be pleasant.
Smoking
  • No smoking is allowed in the Congress Center. But you can find limited smoking areas.
