On January 29, 2011, Mr. Yoichiro Genba, Minister of State for Science and Technology Policy, visited MANA.

After a general introduction of MANA from Dr. Masakazu Aono, MANA Director-General, Mr. Genba received an explation for the new MANA building. At MANA Foundry, Mr. Genba was given an explanation of MANA's research facilities from Dr. Namadame. Lastly, Mr. Genba made an active discussion on Japanese science education and policy with the board members of NIMS and MANA.
