Dr. Ajayan Vinu, MANA Independent Scientist, has been selected as the recipient of the two awards. The first is the Catalysis Society of India Award for the Year 2010. The award ceremony will be held on 19th of December 2010.
The second is the prestigious Friedrich Wilhelm Bessel Research Award for the year 2010 given by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. The foundation grants 25 of these awards annually to young, high level researchers around the world in all the fields of research. Dr. Vinu was selected in recognition of his outstanding research accomplishments in the field of nanoporous materials. This honor will allow him to collaborate with the German scientists from Max Planck Institute on the fabrication of nanomaterials for the production of clean energy and the capture and conversion of CO2 molecules.
