Speech Contest of the 1st term Japanese Language Class, 2011

The Speech Contest of the 1st term of the Japanese Language Class 2011 was held in NIMS on August 4th, 2011. The Japanese Language Class sponsored by MANA is offered in three terms per year and two courses are available (Introductory class and Beginner class). The contest was held as a part of the final class of the 1st term of FY 2011.

The participants talked about their hobbies, their travel in Japan, experience of earthquakes in Japan, the difference in culture between home country and Japan, and similarities between their native language and Japanese.

Dr. Maria Makarova from Russia (Introductory class) and Mr. Huijie Zhang from China (Beginner class) received awards for the best speakers. They were given a gift from Dr. Kimikazu Iwase, NIMS Vice-President.
