Completed: The AMCSNZT-2023, 48th VAMAS Steering Committee Meeting was held in New Delhi, India

The International Workshop on Advanced Materials Challenges and Standardization need for Net Zero Technologies (AMCSNZT-2023) was held in New Delhi, India on October 9-10,2023.

The 48th VAMAS Steering Committee Meeting (VAMAS SC48)
was also held in New Delhi, India from 11 Oct. to 12 Oct., 2023 combined with a hybrid meeting.
From Japan, Dr. Nishijima (NIMS) and Dr. Fujimoto (AIST) attended the meeting online, and Dr. Kitazawa (NIMS) attended locally. They reported on TWA16, TWA24, and TWA44, for which Japan has produced chairs, as well as VAMAS activities in Japan.
At the international workshop AMCSNZT-2023, held prior to VAMAS SC-48, oral and poster presentations were made on the development of energy materials for zero CO2 emissions, recycling of battery materials and other materials, and their standardization, which are currently the focus of worldwide attention, and active discussions were held.
From Japan, Dr. Kitazawa (NIMS) gave a presentation on "Exploration of Magnetic Refrigeration Materials for Highly Efficient Hydrogen Liquefaction" on the development of magnetic refrigeration materials, which are important for magnetic refrigeration technology to achieve high efficiency in the production of liquefied hydrogen, a promising energy source for the future.
