Dr. Ravi Gautam, a Post-Doc in Green Magnetic Materials Group, won the NIMS President Award for Inovatory Research. The award is for his reserach on "Creation of flexible spin-caloritronic material with giant transverse thermoelectric conversion by nanostructure engineering" published in Nature Communications 15, 2184 (2024). Congratulations!!

Dr. Ken-ichi Uchida, Dr. Takamasa Hirai, Dr. Fuyuki Ando , and Dr. Hossein Sepehri-Amin have demonstrated that the transverse thermoelectric conversion (i.e., energy conversion between charge and heat currents that flow orthogonally to each other) can be greatly enhanced by applying magnetic fields or utilizing magnetism.

    Dr. H. Sepehri-Amin received the 20th JIM Murakami Young Researcher Award. The award ceremony was held at the 173rd JIM annual meeting.

    Dr. Sepehri Amin Hossein received the Young Scientists' Award 2023 from MEXT (The Japanese Ministry for Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology). The award is for his research on high-performance permanent magnets without using rare-elements.

    "Green Magnetic Materials Group" is newly‐organized in Research Center for Magnetic and Spintronic Materials (CMSM) on April 1st, 2023. The group will carry out the development of bulk magnetic materials with three major research focus on permanent magnets, soft magnets, and magnetocaloric materials.
