Jiamin Chen, a Ph.D. student of the Magnetic Materials Group, MMU, was selected as one of the finalists for the 59th MMM Conference Best Student Presentation Awards. He made an oral presentation entitled "Crystal Orientation Dependence of Band Matching in CPP-GMR Pseudo Spin-Valves with Co2Fe(Ge0.5Ga0.5) Heusler Alloy and NiAl Spacer" The conference was held in Honolulu, Hawaii on November 3-7 2014.
