Dr. Masamitsu Hayashi, Senior Researcher of the Spintronics Group, MMU, received the 2014 Sir Martin Wood Prize from British Ambassador Tim Hitchens at the British Embassy on November 5, 2014. The prize was given for his pioneering work on the effective field measurements and spin torque dynamics in magnetic nanostructures. He recieved a gold medal and a 500,000 JPY cash award. The Millennium Science Forum is sponsoring his lecture tour to UK in June.
