@In the institute's project on the "Evaluation technology for time-dependent damage of structural materials", we aim at the establishment of the life evaluation technology for time-dependent damage, such as creep, fatigue and stress corrosion cracking.

@We are going to make clear the degradation mechanism due to long-term creep over than 104 h and high-cycle fatigue over than 109 cycles, based on the characterization of nano- & micro-scale mechanical properties by means of nano-technologies such as nano-indentation, and the non-destructive evaluation based on the fracture mechanics. At the same time, we will establish basic technologies of fabrication, measurement and reliability evaluation of nano- & micro-scale materials which can be applied to micro-machines.
@We will develop reliable life evaluation technologies which will contribute to the international standard and the accident analysis in collaboration with Datasheet and Database.
