High strength
corrosion-resistant steel (New infrastructure steel)
Development
of a processing method for larger and wider-sized ultra-steels plates,
fabricating structural parts and construction method.
¡Current results
- Fabrication of recyclable ultra-fine grained
800MPa steels and proposal of a new type of weathering steel. (Fig.1)
- Development of corrosion resistant steel with high nitrogen content for seawater and its welding method.
- Development of new martensitic steels with high resistance to delayed fracture
and development of a fabrication method for steel parts such as ultra-high
strength bolt.
- Proposal of a control method in defect-free high efficient laser welding
and arc welding for 20mm thick plates. (Fig.2)
- Development of a high corrosion resistant and fine coating layer by High
Velocity Oxy Fuel (HVOF) praying with a gas shroud.
- Proposal of new welding materials for high fatigue strength and low susceptibility
for cold cracking.
