Dr. Kentaro Tashiro

Dr. Kentaro Tashiro was born in 1972 and obtained Ph.D. in organic chemistry in 2000 under the direction of Professor Takuzo Aida at the University of Tokyo. He then began an academic career at the University of Tokyo as an assistant professor. In 2008, he moved to National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS) as the deputy head of reticular materials group. Examples of his research interests are chiral symmetry breaking in self-assembly, materials engineering of π-conjugated molecules, chemistry of metal–metal interaction, and science of metal complex sequences
