Main features
By fixing the X-ray tube and the X-ray detector facing each other, placing the sample between them, and rotating the sample 360 degrees, X-ray data from all angles of a certain cross-sectional layer can be collected, and by performing reconstruction processing, it is possible to know the internal structure of the sample. Since the distance between the turntable and the detector can be set with a certain degree of freedom, the geometric magnification can be set according to the size of the sample and the purpose of the analysis. It is good at measuring plastics, carbon fiber reinforced composites, and light metals such as titanium and aluminum, but measurement of heavy metals such as copper and tungsten is also possible. (*Size adjustment is required) The captured data can also be converted into TIFF or STL format and taken home.
- Maximum loadable sample weight 4 kg, the maximum region that can be imaged at one time is a diameter of 9 mm, maximum X-ray tube output 160 kV.
- The specimens themselves can be observed from large ones to extremely small sizes of less than 1 mm.
- By using the three-dimensional data analysis software VGStudioMax (ver. 2.2), it is possible to analyze the sample more effectively.
