+ + About minisymposium + +
Ikumu Watanabe and Takahito Ohmura, who are researchers in National Institute for Materials Science, Japan, are organizing a mini-symposium entitled "Multiscale modeling and characterization in structural materials" in International Symposium on Plasticity, Damage, and Fracture 2016 held in Hawaii on Jan. 3-9, 2016. Our mini-symposium focuses on scale-bridging studies using advanced computational modeling and observation techniques to understand strength and deformation mechanism. Please consider to attend our mini-symposium and Plasticity 2016.

+ + Presentations + +
The presentations will include key-note invited lectures and invited presentations in each of four parallel sessions. The invited key-note lecture of 30 minutes duration is expected to give an overview of the subject with almost 15 minutes being devoted to the results of other researchers. Invited presentations will be allotted 15 minutes. All presentations, including invited lectures, must contain a significant amount of unpublished results. A session of two hours will normally include two lectures and four invited talks. Computer projectors will be available for your presentation.
