Venue & Travel
IISC-23 will be held in Matsue-city which is located in southwest Japan. The conference place will be KUNIBIKI MESSE. Matsue is conveniently located near the two domestic airports (Izumo and Yonago). These can be reached by frequent flights from many airports including Tokyo-Haneda. If you reach Tokyo-Narita airport, you can move to Tokyo-Haneda by a limousine bus (1 hr) or train (1.5 hr), then fly to Izumo/Yonago.
Izumo airport is connected to
- Tokyo-Haneda (JAL, 5 flights/day, 80 min),
- Osaka-Itami (JAL, 5 flights/day, 50 min),
- Sendai (FDA/JAL, 1 flight/day, 90 min),
- Nagoya-Komaki (FDA/JAL, 2 flights/day, 60 min),
- Shizuoka (FDA/JAL, 1 flight/day, 80 min),
- Fukuoka (JAL, 2 flights/day, 70 min).
You can reach Matsue railway station by an airport limousine bus (30-40 min, Approx. ¥ 1,000) which departs following all flight arrivals.
Yonago airport is connected to
- Tokyo-Haneda (ANA, 6 flights/day, 80 min),
- Incheon international airport in South Korea (AAR, 3 flights/week, 125 min),
- Hong Kong (CRK, 2 flights/week, 185 min).
It takes about 45 min from Yonago airport to Matsue railway station by an airport limousine bus (Approx. ¥ 1,000) which departs following all flight arrivals.
You can reach the venue (KUNIBIKI Messe) and accommodation (Matsue Excel Hotel Tokyu) from Matsue railway station by 7 min and 3 min walks, respectively. There is a bridge (Kunibiki Ohashi Bridge) in between the venue and the accommodation. You may enjoy beautiful scenery of Ohashi River and Lake Shinji from the bridge.
