The 10th NIMS Forum

Various company officials, researchers and technologists as well as parties from other research facilities in total of over 800 visitors were gathered at Tokyo International Forum in Yurakucho for the 10th NIMS Forum on the 20th of October, 2010.

NIMS holds a NIMS Forum annually to introduce NIMS’s advanced researches and its results to the public and help people understand NIMS through our poster presentations as well as lectures. NIMS’s latest research results were shown under “Materials Science to Meet the Needs of Business” as the theme for this milestone Forum.

Takahisa Ohno, the Managing Director of ICNSEE, held a lecture, titled “ICNSEE’s Challenge to the Solution for Environmental and Energy Issues” to introduce the mission and research activities of ICNSEE.
“Dye-sensitized Solar Cells” by Liyuan Han of Photovoltaic Materials Group, “Design of High Quality Fuel Cells Electrodes by Using In-Situ Analysis and Simulation” by Toshiyuki Mori of Fuel Cell Materials Group, and “Introduction of Nano Interface Characterization Group of ICNSEE” by Daisuke Fujita of Nano-interface Characterization Group were all displayed as poster presentations at the site. People showed a lot of interests in our researches that a crowd formed in front of our displays and many of them were asking questions to the researchers.
