This is a new group established in September 2007, led by Dr. Koichi Tsuchiya.
Our group focuses on structural functions of metallic materials such as pseudo-elasticity, shape memory effect, smart damping, magnetostriction etc.
Our on going researches include:
- Nanostructured Shape Memory Alloys and Intermetallic Compound by Severe Plastic Deformation
- Cryogenic shape memory alloys
- Magnetostrictive materials
- Metallic glasses
- Microstructure of Grain boundaries and Interphase boundaries in advanced crystalline materials
