Symposium D-4: "Innovative Materials Processing by Controlling Chemical Reaction Fields"
Co-organized by National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS)

Scope
When some external stimulation is applied to the proceeding chemical reaction field, non-linear@amplification may be created. As the external stimulation, we can use the high-magnetic field, electric field, stress field, ultrasonic irradiation, plasma, etc. The aim of this symposium is to exchange views on the amplification processing among researchers in different communities such as materials science, physics, chemistry, chemical engineering, etc. and to promote its application to materials. We hope that this symposium will contribute to the development of materials processing.

Topics
* Phenomena under high magnetic field
* Plasma reaction, Micro-wave reaction
* Sonochemical reaction
* Mechanochemical reaction, Mechanical alloying
* Electrophoretic deposition, Electrochemical deposition
* Phenomena under electric field
* New materials processing through application of external energy
