This group is working on synthesis and characterization of diamond and cubic boron nitride( cBN ). Diamond and cBN, which are well known to be hard materials used as cutting tools, are wide bandgap semiconductors, and are high potential materials for electronic devices. Following are our research subjects, final goals of which are electronic applications.
1. Synthesis of impurity doped diamonds.
2. Studies on electical and optical properties of diamonds.
3. Study on growth mechanism of chemical-vapor-deposited( CVD ) diamond
4. Synthesis of cBN and other materials using plasma and excited beam techniques.
