International ATS Steelmaking Conference

This international workshop was planned as part of the “NIMS Structural Materials Caravan”, which is aiming at discussing future trend of structural materials research.  The French Steel Technical Association (ATS) and NIMS jointly organized the workshop as a special session of International Steelmaking Conference 2005.  The achievements of the Ultra-Steel Project were presented and all participants have meaningful discussions about advanced technology of steelmaking including microstructural evolution and related properties of ultra-fine grained steel in particular.
