Research Summary Supposed to be involved in R&D of innovative catalyst materials for zero-emission hydrogen production.

Duties are subject to change within the scope of the Employee’s position.
Qualification PhD holders or individuals expected to obtain a PhD before assuming the position. Should have a solid foundation in catalysis chemistry and experimental experiences. Experience in hydrocarbon chemistry, particulaly reseach related to methane, is preferred.
Starting Date 07/01/2024 or later (negotiable)
Term 1 year
Renewal of the contract will be determined based on work performance, work attitude, progress of the work engaged in, workload at the end of the contract period, budget situation, and other factors. The maximum employment period shall not exceed five (5) years. This may be subject to change because of amendments to the Working Regulations.
Work Place National Institute for Materials Science, Namiki-Site (Tsukuba City, Ibaraki)
The scope of the change of place of work shall be limited to each of the Employer’s site, as well as other locations separately approved by the Employer.
Work Hours 7 hours 45 minutes a day, 5 days a week
*Deemed working hours when the discretionary labor system is applied are 8 hours and 15 minutes per day.
Holiday Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, New Year Holidays, annual paid leave and other holidays as stipulated in the Working Regulations.
Salary / Supply Monthly salary: Approx. 330,000 yen (In accordance with the Salary Regulations for Fixed Term employees).
Trial Period Two months from the start date of employment.
Insurance Health insurance (MEXT Mutual Aid Association), Welfare Pension Insurance, Employment Insurance and Worker’s Accident Compensation Insurance. You will be automatically enrolled in these insurances when working conditions meet the requirements.
