Presentation Title: :Low-Temperature Recycling Technology for Nylon-Based Composites
Nylon is a high-performance plastic widely used in automobiles and electrical components. Due to the high cost and limited availability of its raw materials, as well as its contribution to marine plastic pollution, there is a strong demand for efficient recycling technologies. However, because of its excellent chemical and heat resistance, recycling nylon typically requires high-temperature processing. In this study, a low-temperature (room temperature) recycling technology for nylon resins and composites was proposed using solvent engineering. Dr. Tanks was recognized with this award for the excellence of this presentation.
