Presentation Title: Prediction of Relationship Between Strength Scatter and Defect Distribution in Ceramics Using a Machine Learning Model
Maeda is a student at Yokohama National University (NIMS host researcher: Dr. Toshio Osada).
This award recognizes outstanding student presentations delivered at the 53rd Annual Meeting of the Gas Turbine Society of Japan. Maeda presented his research on predicting the probabilistic fracture behavior of ceramics based on microstructural and defect characteristics using a machine learning model. His work was highly evaluated, leading to this award. This year’s meeting featured approximately 20 student presentations, among which 2 students received the Best Presentation Award and 6 students received the Excellent Presentation Award.
