Japan Society for Materials Science (JSMS) FY2024 Paper Award & Academic Encouragement Award ｜ RCSM Awardees

On May 31, 2025, researchers from the Research Center for Structural Materials (RCSM), National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS) received awards from the Japan Society for Materials Science (JSMS) for Fiscal Year 2024.
The JSMS Paper Award was presented to Dr. Fumitaka Yoshinaka, Dr. Nobuo Nagashima, and Dr. Takahiro Sawaguchi, while the JSMS Academic Encouragement Award was presented to Dr. Kentaro Wada.

Effect of Strain Rate on the Extremely Low-Cycle Fatigue of Fe-15Mn-10Cr-8Ni-4Si Bidirectional-TRIP Steel

The paper on the effect of strain rate on ultra-low cycle fatigue of Fe-15Mn-10Cr-8Ni-4Si steel was recognized as particularly outstanding.
