NIMS Graduate Program
Graduate students will be formally enrolled at the University of Tsukuba and conduct their research at NIMS in Tsukuba.
Master’s and Doctoral Program in Materials Innovation (T-IMI)
T-IMI is a graduate program at the University of Tsukuba focused on materials science, offering both master’s and doctoral degrees. Entrance examinations are held in July and October each year.

Financial Support & Scholarships
NIMS Junior Research Fellow Program
The NIMS Junior Research Fellow Program provides a salary to graduate students conducting research at NIMS while enrolled at the University of Tsukuba. A start-up grant is also available upon joining.
MEXT Scholarship
The Japanese Government (MEXT) scholarship supports foreign students at Japanese universities. Applications are made through the Japanese Embassy/Consulate in your country or through university recommendation.
