MANA International Symposium 2013

Date:   Feb. 27th (Wed) to Mar. 1st (Fri), 2013
  Place: Epochal Tsukuba, Japan

Our International Center for Materials Nanoarchitectonics (MANA), which was founded in October 2007 with the support of the World Premier International Research Center Initiative (WPI Program) of Japan’s Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), has made significant progress in the first five-year term (2007-2011), as indicated by its high praise in the interim evaluation by the WPI Program Committee in 2011. MANA has thus moved on to the second five-year term (2012-2017) successfully.

MANA has opened the MANA International Symposium every year to discuss the current status and the future perspective of materials science and technology based on state-of-the-art nanotechnology with inviting many distinguished scientists including Nobel laureates from around the world. At this 6th MANA International Symposium, which is the first one in the second five-year term of MANA, “Nano Revolution for the Future” will be discussed at four different sessions on 1) Nano-Materials, 2) Nano-Systems, 3) Nano-Power, and 4) Nano-Life. Active poster sessions are also scheduled.

We hope many people who are interested in materials science and technology join this symposium and obtain fresh inspirations during the symposium.
