In 2024, researchers affiliated with MANA published a total of 753 peer-reviewed papers in a wide range of international journals. The average impact factor of the journals in which these papers appeared was 11.3, underscoring the consistently high quality and global recognition of our research output. Internarionally Co-Authored Papers 70.7 % (in 2024)

The number of internationally collaborative research papers originating from MANA has shown steady and significant growth since the center’s establishment. This trend reflects MANA’s strong emphasis on international collaboration as a core pillar of its research strategy. Since 2015, more than 50% of the papers published by MANA researchers have involved international collaboration. In 2024, this figure reached 70.7%, continuing a trend of exceeding 70% since 2020. This exceptionally high level of international collaboration not only enhances the scientific quality and global visibility of our research but also underscores MANA’s active role as a globally engaged research hub. By working closely with leading institutions and researchers around the world, MANA fosters the exchange of ideas, the advancement of knowledge, and the creation of innovative solutions that transcend disciplinary and national boundaries. This achievement clearly demonstrates the center’s enduring commitment to cultivating an open, collaborative, and internationally connected research environment.

Top 1% Highly Cited Papers 9.0 %

From 2021 to 2024, MANA published 3177 papers, out of which 286 papers (9.0%) were recognized as Top 1% Highly Cited Papers, based on the definition from Scopus database. In 2024, Katsuhiko Ariga, Takashi Taniguchi were selected as “Highly Cited Researchers,” authors of highly cited papers.

 

 

Patent Registrations 507

MANA, dedicated to the promising and rapidly evolving fields of nanomaterials and quantum materials, has achieved a total of 507 patents in 2024— including 307 domestic and 200 international patents.
