Nanomechanical sensors are usually coated with various kinds of materials, so-called receptor layers, including polymers, self-assembled monolayers, proteins, antigen/antibody etc. depending on molecules that we want to detect. Recently, I found that nanoparticles with different surface functionalities were also available as a promising receptor layer material. In this presentation, I will talk about the preparation and application of a nanomechanical sensor coated with the functional nanoparticles.
