Title

Multiscale structural analysis using small scale neutron facilities

Abstract

We have developed multiscale analysis methods on complicated, hierarchical, and heterogeneous structures in a deep area of materials during manufacturing and operation at large scale neutron science facilities. Now, we have successfully started research on utilization of such methods in laboratory-scale facilities, where micro-focusing small angle scattering instruments with advanced neutron mirrors and pulsed neutron transmission spectroscopy focused on Bragg-edges and dips are being developed. In this talk, their recent advances and prospective views are reported.
