Job Summary A post doc position for the fundamental research in Spin caloritronics aimed for developing magnetic materials showing large Nernst effect and investigating underlying physics.
Main work is to fabricate magnetic thin film/bulk samples and characterize their magnetic properties, electric and heat transport properties and thermoelectric properties.
Background on magnetic or thermoelectric materials is required.
Experiences on thin film deposition, thermoelectric property measurements are desirable.
Qualification Ph.D. in materials science, applied physics or physics
Starting Date After August 2019 (negotiable)
Term one year (renewable up to 5 years with annual evaluation)
Work Place NIMS Sengen site (Tsukuba, Japan)
Work Hours 7 hours 45 minutes a day (negotiable as the flex-time system)
Holiday Saturday, Sunday, National Holidays and New Year holidays
Salary / Supply according to NIMS regulations
